LAB Productions started to shape and form itself in June of 1985, by the grace of God. It is designed to elevate, build up, encourage, motivate, inspire to give God's love, to serve, and to help the youth and others to realize that they can be positive forces in life. All this, despite any negative factors, which may have occurred, during their upbringing. They must be assured that they can do anything they put their minds to, if they just believe in God, themselves and their dreams.

If they shoot for the moon and miss, at least they will fall among the stars. They need to know that everything is possible with God, if you just have faith, trust and belief in Him

The wonderful humans that are a part of LAB Productions are all volunteers. The executive director, Leamon A. Best, believes they were all sent to him by God. He thanks God for them each and every day, for they are truly rare to find.

Leamon A. Best - Bio

Leamon A. Best was born in North Carolina and moved to Baltimore, MD at the age of 2, with his parents, Elijah and Alma Lee, and his sisters, Linda Faye and Joyce Teresa Best. He was raised enduring a life in the ghetto. As a little boy, he was extremely shy, quiet and suffered from a low self-esteem. An average student, he excelled at athletics. At the age of 11, he started to lose his sight, becoming totally blind at 18, which meant seeing absolutely nothing. He graduated from The Maryland School For The Blind at 19 and was proud to have received his diploma. Soon after that, he became a vending stand manager, a job he thought that he would have for the rest of his life. But God had other plans for him.

In May of 1985, he resigned from that job to begin his work in his community with young people. He had not planned or thought that he would ever be doing anything of this nature. But before he knew it, he was deeply involved and loving every minute of it.

Some of his family and friends thought he had lost his mind by giving up a paying job to do community service. It didn't matter to him what people thought or said, for in his heart, he knew he had made the right decision. As his love and support for the young people continued to grow, he realized that this was a calling from God.

Leamon has never looked at LAB Productions as a business. He has always viewed it as a service for God and for people. He enjoys and loves what God has him doing, and will be doing it until God no longer wants him to.

Some of Leamon's acheivevments are: the first blind runway model for Travis Winkey; he has received Citizen Citations from Baltimore mayors Kurt Schmoke and Martin O'Malley; he is an accomplished bike rider and roller skater; he exercises' regularly; has authored many songs and a play; and has produced many successful events.

Remember,
"With God, all things are possible.
What's essential is invisible to the eye."
Leamon loves you, but God loves you best.
God bless and peace.
